My 30th Birthday

So, just about everyone has asked if I am sad to be 30. I have to say not at all. It seems that each year just keeps getting better and better. I have so many great things going for me now that I didn't have 10 years ago. And, from the way it has been going I think things just keep getting better the older I get. I think the sadness that so many go through whtn they hit 30, I went through years ago. However, mine was totally vain and juvenille. I remember being so sad after my senior prom because there wasn't anything (so I thought) to buy a fancy dress for, and then after I got married I had the exact same thoughts. How silly, right... I know it is now looking back. But, the best thing I have found out is that there is always something to buy a dress for and to look forward to. My priorities have just changed.
So, with all of that being said, I have had a terrific birthday. I have been celebrating all week. Monday our whole family went to dinner. The kids were thrilled, they had every single person in their lives at the same table. I think Matthew would like it if we all just moved in together. Then Tuesday night Greg and I went out and had a great date night. Thursday we went to paint a picture. If any of you haven't tried this, you should. It is so much fun and we all had a ball. Here are some pictures from that night posted above. Then for the finale we had a birthday party Saturday night. We had a great time. I am also putting some great pictures from there as well.
So, that is it. A week after I turned 30 we have stopped partying. All I can say is that it has been a blast, and I am tired. I will be spending this week getting rested back up.
