I am a wife and mother of 3 year old twins. I also am no longer working on my Ph.D full time. It was hard to give that up since I was going on full scholarship. That may never happen again, but I know my kids will not be this age again! My husband is a Fire Leuitenant. We have been married for almost ten years.

State Fair

If you haven't heard, the State Fair has changed locations. It is now at the Verizon (Oak Mountain) Amphitheatre. We took the kids last night and had an absolute blast. This new location is so much better. Greg and I haven't been to the fair in years, this was so much fun. I do have to say it was expensive! I don't see how big families afford it. You had to pay to park, pay to get in and then even for the kiddie rides it was $4 per ride. We ended up getting the kids armbands which was definetely the best way to go. The kids weren't tall enouugh to ride all of the kiddie rides. Next year will be so much fun! We did all ride the farris wheel. It was a great family moment. Enjoy the pictures.

2 Year Check up visit

This morning was our trip to the doctor.  I have to say that I just love Dr. Levin.  He always tells me how cute the kids are and how they are doing just what they are suppose to be.  He is so very low stress about everything.  So here is the low down...

Matthew:
Weight: 24 lbs 12.5 oz. (10% mark)
Height: 35 3/4 in. (85% mark)
Head Cir. : 19 in. (35%mark)

Katie
Weight: 26 lbs. 12 oz. (just below the 50% mark)
Height: 35 1/2 in. (90% mark)
Head Cir.: 18 3/4 in. (50% mark)

He said they are perfect, to stop stressing out each time I don't think they eat enough.  He said they will eat when they are hungry.

2nd Birthday!

Can you believe it? The kids are two!

Well, actually they turned two last Thursday. I have to say, they are so much more fun now. We sit and play and talk (or, they talk to me, I don't always understand what they say). We had their birthday party at the Zoo. Let me recommend that to anyone planning a birthday party. It cost no more than what I would have paid if I had decorated and did the food myself. Not to mention all the time and stress I would have went through. This was so easy. All I did was show up at the zoo 15 minutes early. I didn't even have to clear away the dirty dishes. The kids all had a wonderful time. I have posted some pictures that I just think are great.

Crazy Times

First of all I have to apologize for not writing in so long. I have started school and am buried under work.

This program is going to be fun, but it is going to be very stressful at the same time. I have so much reading to get accomplished. That has been my biggest deterant from blogging. I have felt like if I have been online, I need to be studying.

I have started with 6 other students. Everyone is so different and comes from such varied backgrounds. This has made it very interesting. However, the common demonitator even with the students who are farther along is the willingness for everyone to work as a team. We have all gotten so much support from each other, it is wonderful.

Hopefully I can post more later, but I have to go for now.

Love you all!
