I am a wife and mother of 3 year old twins. I also am no longer working on my Ph.D full time. It was hard to give that up since I was going on full scholarship. That may never happen again, but I know my kids will not be this age again! My husband is a Fire Leuitenant. We have been married for almost ten years.

Final Post

I have enjoyed playing with this blog. It has really just been a tool for me to push baby photos onto my friends. But, with everything else going on, I just don't have time to keep this up.

Thank you to all who have followed me.

Knock Knock Jokes

So, this has tickled me all day. The kids have discovered knock knock jokes. Matthew is especially taken by them. However, he hasn't grasped the whole concept yet. He will come up to you and say, "knock, knock" when you reply "whose there" he will follow through with "orange" and then just laugh like there is no other. He see no need in having a punch line. It is really just very cute.

School is back

Wow! Those short few days off flew by. Now let the chaos continue. School is back in, we are still living between families and I am no where near organized enough to handle all of this. I keep losing the kids clothes. It never seems to fail, when I am at my moms, the cloths I need are at Greg's moms, and when I am at the Bliz's, the clothes I need are at my mom's. They (the builders) have yet to move the first piece of dirt. I take that back, someone has placed old pallets at the back of our lot. I don't consider that progress.

Second thoughts

So, we were at the Crawfish Boil again on Saturday. There were even more babies in strollers. We even saw this one idiot who had the baby's head laying on her shoulder and then was covering up the baby's other ear with her hand. You know, if your ears are hurting and you feel the need to cover your child's ears wouldn't you think common sense would direct you to go home, or at least move back!!!!

It was no place for kids Saturday, even while it was still daylight.

But, I must say, Katy Perry put on a great show!!!!!

Crawfish Boil

We went to the Crawfish Boil last night and had so much fun. It was nice to be there not thinking about the homework or studying that I should be doing, but simply enjoying myself. We got there early enough to see everyone except Saving Abel. I would have liked to seen them as well, but we got to hear some of there set as they were wrapping up. The music was great. The event is so well organized you could hear and see from just about anywhere. They have these awesome HD Jumbo-trons that were incredible. We set our chairs up way back to kind of stay out of the chaos. I suppose we have gotten to old to find that as enjoyable as before. But, even though we were so far back, we could still see great. And, considering we couldn't hear ourselves think, I can't imagine how loud it would have been had we been any closer. I hope we can get the same area for today. One very suprising thing was the number of kiddos at this event. I have to say, before the sun set I would have totally taken the kids. And we saw several during that time. But, after the sun went down and got way more crowded (and many more teeny boppers) I think I would have had to take them home. However, there were many that didn't agree with me. I saw who knows how many strollers being pushed over the gravel at 11:00. But, to each there own. At least they were there as a family. Maybe that is healthier than me dropping my kids off at the babysitter. Oh, well.

Spring Semester

Yea! All I can say is that the semester is over. I am so glad. We have a week off before classes start again this summer. It isn't really long enough, but I will take what I can get.
