About Me

- Name: TracieB
- Location: warrior, Alabama, United States
I am a wife and mother of 3 year old twins. I also am no longer working on my Ph.D full time. It was hard to give that up since I was going on full scholarship. That may never happen again, but I know my kids will not be this age again! My husband is a Fire Leuitenant. We have been married for almost ten years.

Great Weekend!
This has been such a nice weekend. It had been such a stressful week, I sure was glad to have a break. Starting off with Thursday night I went with Carla and her friends to Sips N Strokes. We painted this really pretty cross. It is funny though, you leave that night thinking "wow, what a great painting" then, the next morning when you look at it, it looks very different from the night before. I think it must have something to do with the wine;-)
Then Friday night comes along. Greg, the kiddos and myself stuff ourselves on pizza. It is so much more relaxing to just stay at home than go out to eat with the kids. After we finish, he offers to stay home with the kids and I got to go shopping for a couple of hours all by myself! I even came home to a house with no toys out. He had got them all ready for bed and picked everything up. Now granted, they still weren't asleep, but they know how to play daddy. It was just nice to have a little time to myself, and come home to a house that didn't look like a tornado ran through it.
Saturday was a wonderful Valentine's. We shared it with Carla and her husband and a couple he had went to school with. His friends were newlyweds, but they were in there mid-30's so they are kind of over the mushy stuff, too. We sat all night picking out all the young lovey-dovey couples laughing at them and placing bets on who was going to "pop the question" that night. To all of our disappointment, there were no proposals.
And that brings us to today. I spent it with Mom, Carla and Granny. We all took Granny out for her birthday. We started with lunch at PF Chang's followed by manicures and wrapped it up with a movie. We watched Confessions of a Shopaholic. It was pretty cute. Definitely a chick flick, but perfect for the day we had.
Now sadly the weekend is coming to an end and I am sure chaos will ensue tomorrow.

Crazy times
I feel bad that I haven't updated anything in a while. School has been crazy. It seems things come due all in the same week (or two). I lead my first class last Monday, and am preparing for another this coming Monday, then another I think on Wednesday. My session last an hour and fifteen minutes! I remember when the thought of a 10 minute presentation scared me to death. I am glad I got through it, but I am sure it wasn't the most enjoyable class my fellow classmates have ever endured. Hopefully, it wasn't the worst either.
The potty training is coming along so nicely! Katie has gone three days with no accidents. I am so excited. One kid down (hopefully), one to go!
Speaking of kids, from the sounds, or lack thereof, coming from their room, I am assuming they are asleep. I can finally go take my Ambien and crawl into bed as well. Isn't crazy that you can be so tired, but can't fall asleep. What is with that?

2 year olds!
Okay, so I wouldn't say that we are going to start a modeling career anytime soon. The kids Uncle Justin, who works at Children's Hospital, asked if the kids could be in some pictures they were taking for a promotion the hospital is doing. Thank goodness they weren't the only kids they were counting on. I would say that it was a horrible experience, but really it wasn't that bad. I just feel bad that they wouldn't cooperate for the hospital's photographer. I hate we wasted her time. Anyway, what more can be said except for the following picture. All you can do is laugh!
Poor Uncle Justin... what a sport!
